Pendleton x Vans x Nibwaakaawin Chicago Powwow

A Vans már korábban is támogatta az indián Native American Youth nonprofit szervezetet. A mostani kollekciónál szokás szerint a Pendleton design tekint vissza a Sk8-Hi, a Slip-On és a Chukka Low modellekről, melyeknek megjelenési dátuma még kérdéses, melyeket egyébként az 58. Chicago Powwow kiállításon mutattak be.

Vans has a cool underground release coming from Classics/Core this weekend at the 58th Annual Chicago Powwow. For the fourth time, Steve Van Doren worked with the Nibwaakaawin, a nonprofit that focuses on empowering the Native American Youth through skateboarding, and has created a special run of Pendleton Sk8-His, Classic Slip-Ons and Chukka Lows for their Chicago Powwow event.

The longstanding relationship between Christian Hosoi and VANS gets another boost this fall with the release of two Sk8-Hi Notchback Pro styles created for the skate legend. The shoe, coming in either a suede model in navy or a canvas and suede combination in tonal black, is a retooled version of the classic Sk8-Hi.

mastermind JAPAN and Vans Japan worked on a classic Sk8 Hi, featuring a suede upper, black/white check lining, zipper on the heel and mastermind JAPAN logo embroidery on the toe box. According to honeyee, the sneaker will release on November 11th, 2011.

First previewed this summer, the latest Vans Syndicate footwear collaboration is about to be released. For Holiday 2011 they got together with skateboard filmmaker Greg Hunt. They worked on two sneakers as part of the pack – the Era ‘S’ and Sk8 Low ‘S’.

Having said that, we’ll admit a Minnie Mouse inspired women’s Sk8-Hi and Slip-On shoe from VANS that looks more fuzzy slipper than sneaker fits the bill.
